Stephen Bates Webb

Stephen Bates Webb, age 64, of Maryville, TN., passed away unexpectedly at his home Friday, May 19, 2017. He was a graduate of Everett High School and was a retiree of ALCOA after 33 years of service. Steve was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed fishing, waterskiing, hiking, bicycling, trail riding, and his motorcycles. He especially enjoyed his road trips to the mountains and adventures to Dollywood with his daughter Brynnan and their recent trip to Disneyworld. Steve is preceded in death by his father Ennis Webb, mother Lena Bates Webb, and step-father Earl Garner. He is survived by his daughter Brynnan Danielle Webb, wife Shirley Maples Webb, and brother Philip Webb. Steve will be greatly missed by all his extended family members and friends. Per Stephen’s wishes he had his body donated to science. The family will receive friends from 5pm to 7:30pm on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 in the Smith Trinity Chapel followed by a memorial service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in Steve’s memory to Friends of Great Smoky Mountain National Park or to the charity of their choice.
