Stephen Trent Samples

Stephen Trent Samples age 66 of Maryville passed away Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of First Baptist Church Maryville. Steve was a Blount County Commissioner and past Commission Chair. He was the founder and president of ProMedia. Steve loved to scuba dive and was in the Air National Guard for 6 years. Preceded in death by: Father, Harold Samples; Grandparents, C.F. & Mable Samples and Homer & Minnie Lou Reeves; Aunt, Dorothy Chastain. Survivors include: Mother, Doris Samples; many cousins; Special Friends, Pete Simmons, Randy Pasqua and Steve Deck. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM, Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Smith West Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM with Dr. Bill Booth and Rev. Charles Ballard officiating.
