December 5, 1931 — December 17, 2008

Stennis Cooper age 77 of Maryville, TN, passed away Thursday, December 18, 2008 at Parkwest Medical Center after a lengthy illness with Alzheimer's. Stennis served in the U.S. Air Force in Korea and was a member of the Mason's. He enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling and drag racing during his younger years which were spent in Minnesota. Preceded in death by: Mother & Father; Four Brothers; Three Sisters, and One Granddaugther. Survivors include: Wife, Cheryl Cooper; Daughters, Donielle Stone of Louisville, TN and Tamara Dempsey of Glencoe, IL; Four Grandchildren; Sisters, JoAnn Brown of Los Alamos, NM and Jimmie Poe of Cape Giraudeau, MO. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ben Atchley State Veteran's Home, 1 Veterans Way, Knoxville, TN 37931 or Broadway United Methodist Church, 309 E. Broadway Ave., Maryville, TN 37804. Memorial service will be at 2:00 PM, Sunday, December 21, 2008 at Broadway United Methodist Church in Maryville.
