Stella Naomi Bivens

Stella Naomi Myers Bivens, age 83, of Maryville, formerly of Union City, Georgia, passed away May 7, 2010 at Asbury Place Healthcare Center. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Maryville. She was an accounting technician and budget controller for the Veterans Administration Regional Office in Atlanta, Georgia. She received many awards for exceeding performance requirements and a special citation for revising the CALM Accounting System. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth Richards Myers and Herman H. Myers and brother, Stanley Myers. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Ullin L. Bivens, sister-in-law, Frances L. Bivens and several cousins. The Bivens family would like to thank all of the nurses, staff, caregivers, and hospice who watched over her while she was a patient at Asbury Place Healthcare Center. The family and friends will assemble at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 10, 2010 at Grandview Cemetery for the Graveside Service and Interment.
