Shirley Ann White

Shirley Ann Wear White, age 84, of Maryville, passed away Friday, March 1, 2019 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a retired teacher from Blount County Schools after 37 years of service and was a member of the Retired Teachers and other professional organizations. She was also a long time member of Alpha Delta Kappa and Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church. Mrs. White was preceded in death by: parents, Sheridan & Callie Wear; son, Roger Alan White; sisters, Helen Talley, Thelma Bradshaw, Margaret Greaser, Mary Charles Myers, Ruth Culvahouse, and Evelyn West; brothers, Bobby & Bill Wear. Survivors include: husband of 58 years, Troy White; daughter, Alison Ann Murphy; grandchildren, Sheridan Murphy and Camden Murphy; Sisters-in-law, Jackie Wear and Lorene Hubbs (Earl); many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
