Shirley I. Simmons

Shirley I. Simmons age 84 of Greenback passed away Thursday, February 4, 2010 at Maryville Healthcare Center. She was a member of Lenoir City First Church of God. She was formerly a member of Maryville First Church of God. Shirley was retired from Sears Service Center as Executive Secretary and Office Manager. Preceded in death by: Parents, Louie & Thelma Harris; Brothers Dale Harris and James Harris. Survivors include: Husband of 66 years, Howard E. Simmons; Son, Bruce Simmons of Greenback; Daughter & Son-in-law, Janet K. & Nobuo Hayashi; Grandchildren, Johnathon & Debbie Simmons, Susan Simmons, Tracy Barker, Mark & Genevieve Hayashi, Amy & Maurice Reed, Kiku & Alec Jovanovic; Twelve Great-Grandchildren; Brothers & Sisters-in-law, Roger & Anita Harris and Dean & Joan Harris; Sister, Donna Von Schmittou; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, Monday, February 8, 2010 at Smith East Chapel with Pastor Don Hackney officiating. Interment will follow at Clark’s Grove Cemetery.
