Shirley Joyce McFee

March 9, 1941 — August 14, 2024

Alcoa

Shirley Richardson McFee, age 83, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2024 with loved ones near by. Born in Rockwood, Tennessee, in 1941 to the late Orville and Geneva Richardson, Shirley moved to Alcoa in 1945, where she attended Springbrook Elementary. She later attended Alcoa High School, where she was a majorette in the Alcoa High School Band.

Shirley's life took her to Memphis, Tennessee, Richmond, Virginia, Charleston, West Virginia, and Aiken, South Carolina, before she returned to Alcoa in 1998. She is survived by her devoted husband, Larry McFee; her daughter, Debby Page; her son, Michael McFee (Jill); and her three granddaughters, Caitlin Page, Chloe Page, and Mei McFee.

A talented artist, Shirley found joy in painting and sewing as well as trying new recipes and baking for her family. She was an avid reader who loved tackling challenging jigsaw puzzles and had a knack for card games and crossword puzzles. Her love for home design and homemaking was evident in the way she created a warm, welcoming home environment for her loved ones. However, her greatest pleasure was spending time at the beach with her family. These cherished memories and traditions will be lovingly carried on in her honor.

While Shirley will not have a public funeral service, her memory will be lovingly honored by her family. Shirley will be remembered fondly by her family and friends for the love she gave and her sweet and gentle nature. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the joy she brought into the lives of those she loved.

May she rest in peace.
