Shirl Daniels

Shirl Daniels, age 73, of Maryville formerly of Greenback went to heaven to be with Jesus on Saturday, December 27, 2008. He passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family. Shirl attended New Hope Baptist Church in Maryville. He retired from the State of Tennessee after 31 years of service and was a Veteran of the United States Navy. He loved to fish and hunt with his friends, spend time with his grandchildren and was an avid flower gardener. He loved all of God's outdoor creation. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ora and Amon Daniels; brothers, Clarence Daniels, Cloyess Daniels; sisters, Dorothy Stinnett and Mildred Boone. He is survived by his wife, June Coulter Daniels; daughters and sons-in-law, Gail and Doug Burns, Bobbie and Gary Fields all of Maryville; grandchildren, Lauren Fields, Tyler Burns, Taylor Burns and Kristen Fields all of Maryville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Felix and Millie Daniels of Greenback, Glen and Margaret Daniels of Ormond Beach, FL, T.L. and Sylvia Daniels of So. Haven, MS, Reva and Bill Prince of Muncy, IN; sister and brothers-in-law, Eileen Lowe, Harold and Pat Coulter and Max and Betty Coulter; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Howard and Nancy Worde. The family would like to thank Dr. Mark Green and his staff for their care and compassion also special appreciation to Becca Daniels, his nurse. Funeral service will be at 7:30 p.m. Monday, December 29, 2008 in the Trinity Chapel with Rev. Mike Parker and Tony Clark officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at Pine Grove Cemetery in Greenback for the interment.
