Shawn Stephen Jones

Shawn Stephen Jones, 41, passed away the morning of June 6, 2015, leaving behind a family who adored him. A simple man, Shawn loved the outdoors and would spend hours on a creek bank fishing, or telling you about the one that got away. He had a wonderful sense of humor, loved to laugh, made the best of every situation, and had a positive effect on those who knew him. Preceded in death by: Grandparents, Luke & Nina Jones and Betty & Wilburn Payne. He was survived by: Daughters, Skyler Jones, Sydney Jones, and Kylee Jones; Grandchild, Sage Jones; Parents, Sue & Steve Jones; Brother & Sister-in-law, Brian & Kim Jones; Nephew, Dylan Jones; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and countless friends. He was dedicated to his family and devoted to his children, but thought the sun rose and sat in his grandson Sage. He never met a stranger and was a good man with a good heart. If you were his friend, you were a friend no matter what. It's been said the good die young, and the loss of Shawn only supports that adage. A celebration of his life will be held Thursday, June 11, at Smithview Pavilion, 601 Smithview Drive, Maryville, TN 37803.
