Sharon A. Walters

Sharon Alvin Walters age 79 of Walland passed away Thursday, January 3, 2018 at Ben Atchley’s Veterans Home. He was a Deacon and member at Rocky Branch Missionary Baptist Church. Sharon served in the United States Army. He retired from the City of Maryville and volunteered for the Disaster Relief Team. Preceded in death by wife, Gladys Walters; 4 brothers, Kenneth, Lawrence, William, and Reagan Walters; parents, Pierce and Ruth Walters; sister-in-law, Lois Walters. Survived by daughter, Joy Walters; brothers, James, Jackie, and Ronnie Walters; and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will assemble for the graveside service at 3:30 PM on Tuesday, January 8, 2019. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Rocky Branch Missionary Baptist Church with funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM, officiated by Rev. Tom Waring.
