Sharon Patton

PATTON, SHARON D. CAMPBELL - age 58 of Knoxville died March 20, 2011 at her home with her family and friends by her side, after a long, courageous battle with breast cancer. She was a member of Redemption Church International and served in multiple ministries throughout the years. She worked as a real estate agent for 20 years, and was a member of the Board of Realtors. She had a passion for life, loved her family and friends, and especially loved Tuesday night Dollar movies and popcorn, regardless of what was showing. She was preceded in death by parents Carroll and Doris Campbell, and brother Carroll Ray Cowboy Campbell. She is survived by her husband and partner of 35 years, Terry Patton, sons Nathan and Daniel Patton, daughter Kendra Batey, son-in-law Matt Batey, daughter-in-law Kaylon Patton, grandsons Conner Patton and Crew Batey, father and mother-in-law John and Wanda Patton, brother and sister-in-law Lynn and Vickie Campbell, sister Denise Valentine, sister-in-law Gail Headrick, Nephews, Dwight Campbell (Wendy), Adam Campbell (Jacqui), Shaun Campbell, and Doug Headrick (Kelly), Nieces Christy Bonifacio, Amanda Campbell and Emily Valentine, several great nephews and nieces, and dear friends Vickie Hunt, Patty Devin, Teresa Cicuzzi, Beth Bowen, and special canine friend Ginger. The family will receive friends at Redemption Church International, 3550 Pleasant Ridge Road, Knoxville, TN 37921 on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., with the funeral service to follow. The family will meet at Smith Funeral & Cremation Service at 2:15 p.m. Thursday, March 24, 2011 for the procession to interment at Sherwood Memorial Gardens in Maryville, TN at 3:00 p.m. Sharon had a dream of providing clean water for the underprivileged in Third World countries and wanted to dig a well.
