Saundra Kay Rupp, age 72 of Lenoir City, passed away December 13, 2022 at Parkwest Hospital with her family by her side.
Saundra was born on November 14, 1950 in Maryville, TN to Benjamin McKinley Griffin and Nina McClanahan who preceded her in death. She is a lifelong East Tennessee resident. She attended Everett High School and spent most her professional career working at Schlegels Automotive before retirement. In retirement she loved living close to her daughter, Malinda Kilby and working with helping the elderly. She was a very spirited lady who loved being a mother and grandmother to her 9 grandchildren. She was well known for her homemade fudge, crocheting, singing karaoke, passion for Volkswagen vehicles and buck dancing.
Saundra was united in marriage to the love of her life, Edgar Firestone Rupp on January 1, 1992. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Ed; daughter, Malinda Kilby of Lenoir City; stepchildren, David Rupp of Franklin, TN, Kristin Colquitt of Waynesville, MO, and Jonathan Rupp of Maryville, TN; grandchildren, Brenton Colquitt of Waynesville, MO, Emma Kilby of Lenoir City, TN, Holton & Miranda Woodall of Maryville, TN, Amaya Colquitt of Waynesville, MO, Hafsteinn Karlsson of Dunkirk, MD, Astmar Rupp of Dunkirk, MD, Joshua Rupp of Dunkirk, MD, and Kristofer Rupp of Dunkirk, MD; siblings, John Griffin, Benny Miller, and Linda Nichols; pet, Biscuit, furry friend of 15 years.
