Sarah Elizabeth Rison

Sarah Elizabeth Johnson Rison, age 96 of Maryville passed away March 3, 2015. A native of Niota, former resident of Knoxville, she was the daughter of the late Rudolph A. and Mary Elva Miller Johnson and was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Henry (Rudy) T. Rison, Jr., and grandson Henry Taylor Rison, IV; sisters: Dora Moore, Helen Moore, and Gertrude Wood. She is survived by her children: Sarah R Williams (James) of Marietta, GA; Henry T. Rison, III (Yvette) of Maryville, TN; Lynn J Rison of Canton, MI., two granddaughters, Julie W. Marin (Sergio) of Daniel Island, SC; Wendy W. Armstrong (Jason) of Roswell, GA; four great grandchildren: Kate Armstrong, Sarah Marin, Nicholas Marin, and Will Armstrong; 3 Step-great grandchildren: Jesse, Dillon and Sarah Mitchell; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be on Saturday, March 21st at 2:00 PM at Lake Hills Presbyterian Church, Knoxville, with the Rev Dr. James McTrye officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
