Sara Wade Willis

Sara Wade Willis age 94 of Alcoa passed away Monday, October 23, 2017 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a longtime member of Maryville First Baptist Church and active in her Sunday school class and involved in the jail ministry. Sara was an excellent cook and enjoyed cooking for her large extended family. She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed having fun. She loved her family deeply. Preceded in death by: Husband of 74 years, James Newton Willis; Siblings, John Wade, Ralph Wade, Wilma Lee, Doris Campbell; Twin Sister, Sue Clayton. Survivors include: Son & Daughter-in-law, James “Jimmy” Willis (Jackie); Daughter & Son-in-law, Janie Gill (Gary); Grandchildren, Kristy Willis (Kate), Brian Willis (Laura), and Chelsea Gill; Great-Grandchildren, Emily Willis and Clay Willis; Sister, Ruth Kelly; Sister & Brother-in-law, Juanita & Vearl Kennedy; former Daughter-in-law and mother of Kristy & Brian, Carole Willis; several nieces and nephews.
