Sara Eva Mcgaha

April 4, 1923 — December 27, 2008

Sara Eva Susong McGaha, age 85, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2008 at Asbury Place, Maryville, TN. She was a long time member of Alcoa First United Methodist Church and a current member of Broadway United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Dudley McGaha, and four children: Sara and Kenneth Millsapps, Louisville; Cecelia and Jim Webb, Maryville; Bill and Sue McGaha, Florida; John and Debra McGaha, Greenback. She was a grandmother to eight grandchildren; Kathy and Jim Stallworth, David and Christi Millsapps, England; Mike and Lisa McMahan, Maryville; Susan and Ross Cormia, Martin, TN; Logan McGaha, Florida; Jennifer McGaha, Knoxville; Carrie and Dan Brooks, Georgia; and Becki McGaha, Alcoa. She had five great grandchildren: David, Sara, Annabelle, Riley, and Addison. The family would like to express a sincere thank you to Teresa Catron MD, Mary Walker, nurses and CNA's at Asbury Place, Maryville and Blount Memorial Hospice Group. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 pm on Monday, December 29, 2008 at Grandview Cemetery with the Rev. Amy Probst officiating. Friends may call at their convenience after 2:30 pm on Sunday, December 28, 2008. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 2200 Sutherland Avenue, Portland Bldg.
