Sara Ann Henry

October 3, 1933 — April 15, 2022

Sara Ann Henry, age 88, of Maryville Tennessee passed away peacefully on April 15th at 7:00 pm surrounded by her family and loved ones. The time she took her last breath was no coincidence. In the Bible, the number seven is the number of completion and perfection, both physically and spiritually. We know that God ordained that specific time for Sara to be called home to heaven. If anything has made the loss of her precious life more bearable... it is the HOPE of the Resurrection that we have through Jesus Christ! God called his good and faithful servant home to Jesus on Good Friday. Sara was predeceased by her loving husband, Rev. Horace Frank Henry. They devoted all of their 32 years married to serving the Lord by Pastoring churches in the Holston Conference of the United Methodist Church. She is survived by her two sons; Mark Henry, David Henry; her grandchildren Austin Henry, Alyse Butler (Brett), Brooke Mercer (Derrek); her great-granddaughter Sara Blake Mercer whom brought her much joy in sharing her name. A celebration of life service will be held in Sara’s honor as opposed to traditional funeral services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Fairview United Methodist Church the park ministry, food pantry, or music ministry, 2508 Old Niles Ferry Road, Maryville, TN 37803. The celebration service will be held at her home church, Fairview United Methodist Church in Maryville, TN on Wednesday April 20th. Receiving Friends will be at 5:00 PM and service at 6:00 PM. Fairview was her second family where she found much joy and purpose and also many friendships that enriched her life. Now a treasure, is the expression of love she showed everyone she knew and her sense of humor was always close to follow. Sara will be dearly missed and always remembered.
