Sandra K. Roberts

Sandra Whitehead Roberts, 76, of Maryville, passed away peacefully at home on January 20, 2023, following a lengthy illness. She was a woman of strong faith and a long-time member of Laws Chapel Primitive Baptist Church. She graduated from Walland High School in 1964 and then worked in the medical field for many years. She later moved to Heritage High School in a Teacher’s Assistant position where she was able to utilize her knowledge and love for social studies and history. She loved her students, and it was here that she developed numerous relationships that would last throughout her lifetime. She was an avid reader and was passionate about traveling, especially with her beloved late husband. She was also a travel agent and enjoyed organizing and planning trips for groups and her special friends. More than anything, she loved her family and watching her grandchildren grow up. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Clyde Roberts, Jr.; mother, June Whitehead; and nephew, Joshua Livingston. She is survived by her sons, Todd (Kelly) Roberts and Brad (Teena) Roberts; step-daughter, Tammy (Ritchie) Knouff; grandchildren, Jaqueline Knouff, Griffin Roberts, Nicholas Roberts, Macy Roberts, and Natalie Roberts; sisters Jan (Max) Hill, Connie Iorio, and Karen McCarthy; sister-in-law Janice (Bill) Livingston; nieces Kelly Simerly, Tracy Anderson, and Michelle Mullins; nephews Trent Hord, Daniel Livingston, and Caleb Livingston; and several special friends and travel companions. The family would like to extend our special thanks to Dr. Ritu Khanna and nurse Rhonda from University Nephrology, as well as the staff at UT Hospice for the love and care provided to Sandy during her illness.
