Sandra Rose Kolak, age 68, of Maryville, passed away on Friday, November 9, 2012 after a battle with ALS i.e. Lou Gehrig's Disease. She was born in Inez, Martin County, Kentucky. She was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church, Maryville. Sandra was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was an avid tennis player, quilter and birdwatcher with over 600 species of birds on her "Life List." Preceded in death by: Father, Cecil C. Muncy; Mother, Vina Horn Muncy Glore. Survivors include: Loving husband, Alvin H. Kolak; Son, David Howard Kolak; Daughter, Kathryn Louise Kolak Baker & husband Robert Hurst Baker; Three granddaughters, Abigail Louise Baker, Elyse Kathryn Baker, and Natalie Claire Kolak. There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Fairview United Methodist Church, 2508 Old Niles Ferry Road, Maryville, TN 37803. Visitation will start at 12:00 Noon with Memorial Service to follow at 1:00 PM with Rev. Dr. Jerry Russell officiating.
