Gardner, Samuel J. age 48 of Maryville, passed away peacefully from this life to heaven on Friday, January 4, 2008. To know Sam was to love Sam. He was a special man with a kind heart and a gentle soul. Sam is loved and will be deeply missed by his many friends and family including his wife, Jill Gardner; son & daughter, Matthew & Jenna Cox; parents, John & Eloise Gardner; brother, Randy Gardner; sister, Renea Phenix and many other dear family members and friends. Sam and his family are so very appreciative of all the kindness, support and generosity that everyone has blessed them with. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12 noon Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at Smith Chapel with Memorial Service to follow at 12:00 noon with Rev. Barry Clanton officiating.
