Compton, Samuel Steven age 49 of Walland passed away Thursday, May 17, 2007 at home. He was a member of Keeble's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. Preceded in death by: Father, Sam J. Compton; Grandparents. Survivors include: Wife, Denise Compton; Sons, Caleb Compton and Sam (Jep) Compton both of Walland; Daughters, Cora Compton and Jodi Compton both of Walland; Mother, Curt Compton; Brother, David Compton of Walland; Sister and Brother-in-law, Sharon & Robbie Everett of Walland; Special Cousin, Rick Compton; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be at 7:30 PM, Saturday, May 19, 2007, West Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Tim Martin, Rev. Gary Simerly, and Rev. Mark McMahan officiating. Interment will be at 2:00 PM, Sunday, May 20, 2007 at Keeble's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
