Rufus L. Hicks

Rufus L. Hicks, age 80, passed away at Blount Memorial Hospital on September 24, 2015 surrounded by his family. Rufus was a 1954 graduate of Maryville High and was retired from United Cities Gas. He loved riding horses, working in his garden but most of all loved spending time with his family. Rufus was proceeded in death by an infant son Douglas-Alan. He is survived by his wife Una, and two sons Mike and Tim Hicks of Maryville, Tennessee. Rufus was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM, Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Smith East Hall with Rev. Ben Ward officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 2:00 PM, Sunday, September 27, 2015 at New Providence Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery for the interment.
