Ruby Kathleen Word age 78 of Maryville died Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at the family home. Survivors include husband of 62 years, Daniel Word; son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Libby Word of Louisville; daughter, Debbie Heaton, and Kim Dotson both of Maryville; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Steve Lee of Dunlap, TN; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; brothers, Bart Huffstetler and Burl Huffstetler both of Maryville; brother and sister-in-law, Herman and Wanda Huffstetler of AL; sisters, Mary Ruth Melton of Alcoa, Lois Morris, Carolyn Lane and Edna Huffstetler all of Maryville; several nieces and nephews; the family would like to give a special thank you to caregivers, daughter, Kim Dotson, Vicky, Ricky and Carol Atkins, Dale and Lena Tipton, and Bonnie, Frances, and Angela with UT Hospice. Funeral service will be at 7:00 p.m. Friday, September 25, 2009 in the Smith Chapel with Rev. Joe Green officiating. Entombment will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 26, 2009 at Grandview Mausoleum.
