Ruby Catherine McClure Hitch

Ruby Catherine McClure Hitch age 86 of Maryville died Saturday, April 4, 2009 at Asbury Place. She was a member of Alcoa Way Baptist Church and attended Logan's Chapel United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Hitch, son, Bill Hitch, infant daughter, Geraldine Hitch, mother, Lona Conner McClure, father, John McClure, brother, John (Bud) McClure, sister, Lucille McClure Hall, and infant sister, Juanita McClure. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Jack and Peggy Hitch of Maryville and John Robert "Bob" and Shirley Hitch of Seymour; grandchildren and spouses, John Hitch of NC, Kelli Hitch Huskey and Scott of Sevierville, Adam Hitch of Townsend, Brandy Hitch Wegner and Matt of NC, Holly Hitch McCampbell and Will of Townsend, Jennifer Hitch of NC, and Josh Hitch of Seymour; great grandchildren, Evan and Jenna Huskey, Anthony and Addison Hitch, Lisa Hitch, Madeline and Cole McCampbell, Courtney, Robert and Madison Lowery; several nieces and nephews and special friends. Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2009 in the Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Jack Hitch officiating. The interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery with Rev. Edward Adams officiating. Family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Smith Funeral & Cremation Service, Maryville, 983-1000.
