Ruby Eloise Jeter (nee. Cooper) died peacefully in her home in Maryville, Tennessee at the age of 80 on June 20th, 2016, surrounded by family and friends. Ruby was born in Union County, Mississippi on February 15, 1936, the daughter of Wiley Finley Cooper and Irene Lucy Jane Warren. She was married to William Edwin Jeter on December 31, 1953 in New Albany, Mississippi. They moved to Illinois in 1958 and subsequently to Maryville, Tennessee in 1999. Ruby enjoyed fishing and playing board & card games with family and friends. She was a member of the First Apostolic Church of Maryville, Tennessee, a member of Trendsetters, and was a former member of the First Apostolic Church of Aurora. She was preceded in death by her parents, thirteen brothers and two sisters. Ruby is survived by her husband William, their four children, Stanley Lee (Sheila), Claudia Sue (Robert), William Edwin Jr. (Donnita), Bobby Dale (Jacalyn); eleven grand-children; fifteen great-grandchildren; brother, Jimmie Dell; sister, Betty Sue; many nieces & nephews. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM, Friday, June 24, 2016 at First Apostolic Church. Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM with Pastor Kenneth Carpenter officiating.
