Roy Lee Watkins

Roy Lee Watkins age 69 of Maryville passed away Monday, July 29, 2013. Roy entered the gates of Heaven into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior. Roy graduated from Everett High School Class of 1962. He retired from ALCOA with 34 ½ years of service and was a member of the Betrayed Retirees from Alcoa, and Alcoa's 25-Year Club & GWRRA. He was also a Veteran of the United States Army. Roy was a longtime member of Forest Hill Baptist Church. Preceded in death by: father, Arvil J. Watkins; mother, Mamie Tyler Watkins Henry; stepfather, Rev. Eli Henry (who he loved very much); loving wife of 30 years, Faye Amburn Watkins; Brother, J.C. Watkins. Survivors include: Loving wife and best friend, Nancy Jarnagin Watkins; son, Stephen Watkins; daughter & son-in-law, Jennifer & Jurgen Mootz; son, Jeffrey Watkins; grandchildren, Braeden Watkins, Caleb Watkins, Anna Mootz and Trent Mootz; wonderful loving Toy Poodle, Buffy Lee Watkins; special South Carolina cousins, Billy & Janice Watkins and family; aunt, Ruby Watkins; step sister, Carolyn Henry; host of friends and cousins that he loved very much; special cousin, Roberta Tyler that introduced Roy & Nancy; many family, friends, beloved neighbors, and riding buddies too numerous to mention. Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM, Friday, August 2, 2013 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Gary Thomas and Rev. Rex Everett officiating. Family and friends will assemble for entombment at 1:00 PM, Saturday, August 3, 2013 at Grandview Mausoleum Chapel.
