Roy Mayford Flynn

Roy (Mayford) Flynn, age 90, formerly of Louisville TN, passed away on December 7, 2015. He was preceded in death by his wife of 36 years, Thelma (Burchfield) Flynn, his parents, Hobart and Zola Flynn; mother and father in law, Odie and Emma Burchfield, brothers and sister in laws, Baxter (Lula), Paul (Lorena), Clovis (Louise), Jack (Betty), Arvil and Carl; Nadine, Bobbie and Fern, sisters and brother in laws, Katherine , Mary Jane (Henry Woody) and Maxine (Eddie Davis) He is survived by his sons; Warren (Rasha) and Tris (Heidi); daughter, LaConna (Neal) Cyganiak; eight grandchildren (Jason, Geoffrey, Lesley, Zaido, Jeremy, Erin, Katie and Joey); great grandchildren; brothers Leon and Wiley; sister in laws, Julia and Rosalie Flynn; and sister, Wanda Sue (Harvey) McGill; and many nieces and nephews. He served our country during WWII in the U.S. Navy. After the war, he attended the University of Tennessee and worked at Sears for over 20 years. Visitation will be held Friday, December 11, 2015 from 5:00-6:30 pm at Smith Trinity Chapel, Maryville, TN. A funeral service will follow at 6:30 pm with Rev. Beecher Whitehead officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 am, Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Central Point Baptist Church Cemetery, Rockford, TN.
