Rose Lynn Wilson

Rose Lynn Burris Hamilton Wilson went to her heavenly home Saturday November 4, 2023 at the age of 82. She was preceded in death by parents Kyle and Jane Burris; husband Dean Hamilton; and brother Vaughn Burris. Rose is survived by husband Rev. Bobby Ray Wilson; sons Scott Hamilton (Jamee); Steve Hamilton; Jason Hamilton (Becky); grandchildren Bailey, Eli, and Callie Hamilton; stepdaughter LeAnne Young (Kevin); sisters Barbara Spencer; Brenda Ethridge (James); and brother Glen Burris (Jennifer). Special friends Burl and Barbara Keasler. Rose was a graduate of Alcoa High School class of 1959. She also retired from Alcoa City Schools in 2001, where she worked as secretary at the central office for 22 years. She had many hobbies that she enjoyed, bowling for over 40 years at Crest Lanes, sewing, doll making, and quilting. She also enjoyed seeing and spending time with her grandchildren and traveling with her loving husband Bobby. Rose and her husband Bobby also attended Maple Grove Baptist Church. The family would like to thank University of Tennessee's Hospice care, the staff of Morning View, and Brienne Simerly for their excellent care for Rose during her illness.
