Geneva Rose Jones

Geneva "Rose" Phillips Jones age 101, of Maryville, died Sunday, October 19, 2008 at the family home. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Otis Jones and James R. Phillips; son, David Phillips; son-in-law, Buzz Vineyard; and grandson, Buzz Vineyard III; Mrs. Jones is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Phyllis and Pat Hutsell of Maryville, Regina and Jerry Remaley of Atlanta, Mary Ann Vineyard of Alcoa, and Jennie Satterfield of Maryville; 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren; step-sons, Lloyd Jones and Fred Jones, both of Maryville, step-daughters, Mae Hearon, and Mary Dixon, both of Maryville; several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 21, 2008 in the Smith West Chapel with Rev. Clifton Hearon and Rev. Bill Dixon officiating. The family and friends will assemble on Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at Grandview Cemetery for Interment. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 21, 2008 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Smith Funeral and Cremation Service, Maryville, 983-1000.
