Rose Marie Hess

Rose Marie (Furman) Hess, 80, passed away August 20, 2015. Rosie was the daughter of the late Albert & Mary Elizabeth (Potter) Furman. She grew up in Oswego, NY. Rosie spent 20 years as a dental technician in Norfolk, VA before retiring and moving to TN with her husband. She never missed calling family and friends on their special day to sing "Happy Birthday" and that call will be missed. She was a member of Greenback Presbyterian Church and loved her family. Preceded in death by her son, David; brothers, Courtney, Buddy and Paul Furman. Rosie is survived by: husband Paul; daughter, Debbie (Bob) Foshee of Greenback; two grandchildren, Lt. Paul Bowman USN and Sarah Hess; daughter-in-law, Kelly Hess; sister, Marilyn Kinnison; sisters-in-law, Pat Furman and Jody Furman; several nieces and nephews; very special niece, Kimberly Faivus. We wish to thank all the caregivers who provided excellent care. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM, Monday, August 24, 2015 at Smith East Hall.
