Rose La'Verne Davis

Rose La’Verne Davis age 86 of Townsend passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2022.  She was a lifelong member of Townsend Church of God and RIO Townsend.  A devoted wife and mother of five generations, she loved to cook for her family.   La’Verne also loved to watch UT sports and enjoyed watching her grandkids play.  Preceded in death by her husband, Harry Edward Davis; son, Sidney Lee Davis.  Survivors include her children; Nancy (Ralph) Moser, Ray (Linda) Davis, Darlene (Keith) Moser, Harley Bill (Amber) Davis; grandchildren, Jennifer (Brian), Scott, Dan (Heather), Chesney, Brennan (Danielle), Riley, and Jacee; great grandchildren, Robert (Destiny), Mikayla, Taysia, Brent, Bryson, Mason, and Harley; great great grandchild, Andie Lynn.  The family would like to say a special thank you to Pastor Ronnie and Jeannie Hepperly; sister-in-law, Flo Dockery; friends, Dave and Anita Duggan and Ed and Bonnie Waigand.  Family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at RIO Townsend with funeral service to follow at 5:00 with Pastor Ronnie Hepperly officiating.  Family and friends will assemble at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at Tuckaleechee United Methodist Cemetery for the interment.  Smith Funeral & Cremation Service, Maryville, 865-983-1000, www.SmithFuneralandCremation.com
