Ronnie Glenn Quinton

March 21, 1943 — October 1, 2014

Ronnie Glenn Quinton age 71, of Maryville, passed away suddenly Wednesday night, October 1, 2014 into the presence of his Lord and Savior: Jesus Christ. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and will be missed by all who knew him. Ronnie was an avid outdoorsman who loved his wife until his last breath. More importantly, he truly served his Lord with everything in him. Following in Christ's footsteps, Ronnie, who served as a Deacon at Piney Grove Baptist Church, helped anyone and everyone; there wasn't anything he wouldn't do for someone in need. He was a member of the 134th Air National Guard and served in Germany during the Berlin crisis. Preceded in death by: Parents, Glenn & Carrie Lane Quinton; Infant Twin Sons; Uncle, Claude Lane. Survivors include: Loving and Devoted Wife of 50 years, Judy Thompson Quinton; Daughters & Sons-in-law, Donnie & Rhonda Quinton Douglas and Lee & Sheri Beth Quinton Townsend; Grandchildren, Jeremy & Stephanie (Douglas) Goode, Daniel & Abigail (Walker) Douglas, Haden, Hunter, Evan and Erik (twins) Townsend; Great-Grandson, Bennett Isaiah Goode; Sisters & Brothers-in-law, Shirley & Dickie McGill and Gail & Steve Wilson; Brothers-in-law and Spouses, Dale & Cheryl Thompson and Don & Mary Thompson; Nieces and Nephews, April Carver Hurst, Chris Carver, Michaella McGill, Shane & Aaron Thompson, and Jeannie Thompson Grindstaff; Honorary Grandsons, Cameron Liford and Xunming (John) Zhang; loving aunts, uncle, cousins, and a host of friends and church family. Pallbearers will be the Grandsons and Honorary Pallbearers will be his Sunday School Class. Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, Sunday, October 5, 2014 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Chris Edmonds and Rev. Donnie Douglas, and Daniel Douglas officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to: Hope for Today Cancer Support Group, P.O.
