Ronnie McGhee has gone to be with his loving wife of 50 years. He passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at Parkwest Medical Center. Ronnie served 35 years with the Tennessee Air National Guard, 228th Squadron, achieving the rank of First Sergeant. He then served two years at the state level, retiring as State Command Chief Master Sergeant. Preceded in death by: wife, Dorothy McGhee; father, Howard McGhee; mother, Louise McGhee of Oliver Springs; brother, LeRoy McGhee. He is survived by: son, Eric McGhee; grandchildren, Riley & Korbin; brother, Jim McGhee; sisters, Brenda Veach and Magaline Fowler. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Wounded Warriors, PO Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8517, Tunnels to Towers, or the NRA. Family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM, Friday, February 2, 2024 at Smith Trinity Chapel. Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM with David Brock officiating.
