Ronald Edward Vastine

Ronald Edward Vastine age 77 of Maryville, passed away Thursday, December 14, 2023 at Blount Transitional Care.  He was a proud Veteran of the United States Air Force stationed in Apple Valley, CA.  He was a member of the 431^st Tactical Fighter Squadron serving in Vietnam. Ronald was a Military Weapons Technician for the F4-Phantom Fighter Bombers.  He loved music and was a member in a number of bands in his youth.  Ronald was a member of First Christian Church Portsmouth, Masonic Lodge F&AM attaining his 32^nd Degree Scottish Right.  He was also a member of the Eastern Star.  Ronald was an Amateur Ham Radio Operator who loved hunting, fishing, boating, camping, traveling and the outdoors.  He was a loving and devoted, husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be deeply missed by his family and friends.  Survivors include:  wife of 53 years, Judy Vastine; son, Dr. David Vastine and wife Amanda; grandson, Alexander Kenneth Vastine.
