Ronald (Ronnie) Andrew Myers age 69, passed away Sunday, June 22, 2014 at home surrounded by his family. Ron was a loyal man of his God, his country, his family, his community, and his friends. Born on August 22, 1944, he was a member of Alcoa First Baptist Church. He graduated from Everett High School in 1962 and went on to serve his country in the United States Air Force thru 1966. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Some of his best days were spent on the golf course with his buddies and at Neyland Stadium Singing Rocky Top. Ron will be deeply missed by all of those whose lives he touched. The world will forever be a better place because he was in it. Preceded in death by: Parents, Robert & Margaret Myers; Grandparents, Melvin & Mattie Wilson; Brother, Bobby Myers; Uncle, Ray Wilson; Aunt, Amanda Yates; Parents-in-law, Ernest & Bobbie Quillen. Survivors include: Wife of 49 years, Angela Quillen Myers; Son, Michael Myers of Memphis, TN; Daughters, Jamie Myers of Charlotte, NC and Kelli Anderson (Jack) of Atlanta, GA; Granddaughters, Blakely and Kinsey Jenkins, Amy Katherine, Marlee, and Maci Myers; Great-Granddaughter, Caelyn Martin; Sisters, Ann Manly of Gulfport, MS and Denise Hutson of Maryville, TN; Sister-in-law, Kathy Myers of Lake Alfred, FL; Aunt, Betty Wilson of Rockford, TN; very special family friend, Judy Valenzuela; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Celebration of his life will be held on Friday, June 27, 2014 at Alcoa First Baptist Church with receiving of friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM followed by the funeral. Burial will be held at Middlesettlements Cemetery on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 11:00 AM. Donations may be made to Alcoa First Baptist Church in Ron's name, 819 Gilbert Street, Alcoa, TN 37701.
