Ronald Lynn Kelso, age 63, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, January 24, 2022 after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Ron was an employee with Anderson Lumber Company for over 26 years. Ron loved racing, especially watching his son, grandson, nephew and niece. But his family was his true pride and joy. He loved to hear his three boys sing, and recently he shared his testimony of being ready to be with his Savior. He was a loving husband, daddy, papaw, son, and brother. Ron is preceded in death by his mother, Christine Kelso; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Ruth and Lester Smith; grandparents Ernest & Willie Kelso, Clarence & Mayme Blair; loving niece, Kristi Smith, He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Kathy Kelso; father, Thomas David Kelso; sons and daughters-in-law, Chris & Megan Kelso, Jimmy & Rebekah Kelso, Joey & Enrique (Arnold) Kelso; adopted daughter Rachel "Richie" Kelso; grandsons, Jacob Kelso & Chayse McDaniel; granddaughter Lizee Decker; brother, James Richard Kelso; sister and brother-in-law, Regina & Willie Emert; nephew and niece, Jed & Miranda Emert, Jennifer Emert; brothers-in-law Tony & Mike Smith, plus several more brothers and sisters-in-law: nieces. Kaitlin & Kimber Smith, among several other nieces and nephews; great nephews Micah Smith & Elijah Rogers, among several other great nieces and nephews; a large extended family and many friends. Family will receive friends from 5:30 until 7:30 PM, Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Smith West Chapel. Funeral service will be at 7:30 PM with Rev. Mike Arp officiating.
