Ronald Joe Frank

Frank, Ronald J. age 62 of Maryville passed away Friday, December 22, 2006 at the family home. He was retired from the U.S. Army as a Lt. Col. after 21 years of service. He was a Vietnam Helicopter Pilot and received the Silver Star and numerous air medals. Preceded in death by: Father, MSgt. Joseph Frank; In-laws, Lou & Jean Crompe; Aunt, Ramona Akins Cooper; Uncle, Bill Hurst; Grandparents, Harvey & Stella Hurst and Della & Sam Frank. Survivors include: Wife, Susan Frank; Son and Daughter-in-law, Joshua & Jennifer Frank of Clarksville; Daughters and Sons-in-law, Meghan & Brian Story of Clarksville and Sarah & Phil Gharib of Murfreesboro; Grandchildren, Ethan Story, Cade Story, and Logan Frank; mother, Margaret Frank Graham of Seymour; Sisters and Brothers-in-law, Sandra & Jim Farley of Seymour and Sherry & Kyle Ward of Maryville; several special nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Dr. Guy Garman, the staff of Thompson Cancer Center and Linda Miller, the Hospice Nurse. Memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 26, 2006 at Smith Mortuary with Minister Bobby Hurst officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memorial and Honor program, 501 S. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942 in memory of Mr. Frank. Family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Smith Mortuary, Maryville, 983-1000.
