Ronald Douglas Clark, age 78 of Maryville, made the gentle transition from his earthly life to his heavenly home on Monday, May 29, 2023. A lifelong resident of Maryville, Ron graduated from Everett High School in 1963 and attended Hiwassee College and the University of Tennessee. He served in the Air National Guard as a reserve of the Air Force from November 1965 until March of 1966. After a 43 year career, he retired from Home Federal Bank. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Powell. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. Ron enjoyed woodworking, the mountains and being outdoors in addition to fishing, golfing and classic cars. Most of all, he loved spending time with family and friends. To know him was to love him. His sense of humor was a magnet drawing others to him. Preceded in death by parents, James A. and Hassell (Abbott) Clark; brothers, David Clark, Jerry Clark. Survived by wife of 20 years, Carol M. Clark; daughter, Michelle Clark-Reagan; son, Brandon A. Clark; grandson, Tyler D. (Whitney) Clark; great-grandchild, Ashlynn Clark; two nieces and a nephew. A special thank you to UT Hospice for their extraordinary care. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at Smith Trinity Chapel. The Funeral Service will follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Chris Cupp officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 AM for Entombment Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at Grandview Pavilion.
