Rodney Gardner

Rodney Aaron Gardner age 35 of Maryville died Saturday, January 3, 2009 at his home. He was a devoted husband, a beloved father, and an adored son. Preceded in death by his grandfathers, Edgar Whitehead and James T. Gardner and grandmother, Ora Whitehead; Uncles, Jimmy Whitehead and William Whitehead. Survivors include his wife Elissa Gardner; son, Noah Gardner; step children, Tori and J.J.; parents, Mike and Kim Gardner of Maryville; brother, Chris Gardner of Knoxville; grandmother, Esta Gardner; uncle, Tom Gardner; Aunts, Barbara Rice and Carol Carpenter; many special family and friends. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 8, 2009 at Happy Valley Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery for the interment with Rev. Lonnie Garner and Rev. Clifton Hearon officiating. Friends may come by at their convenience after 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the West Chapel of the funeral home or at the parent's home as well.
