Rodger Dale Weakley

Rodger Dale Weakley, age 79 of Maryville passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at the family home.  Rodger was born October 07, 1943 in Walland, TN.  He was an active member of Oakview Baptist Church where he served God faithfully for many years as a dedicated teacher, youth leader, and deacon. He was a proud veteran serving honorably in the U.S. Army and was retired as a schoolteacher after many years of service. Preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Dovie Weakley, and his sister, Vada Gregory Graham; He is survived by his loving wife of 56 ½ years, Mary Ann Weakley; sister, Theresa LeQuire; sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Kathy Weakley, and Mark and Tammy Weakley; daughter and son-in-law, Tonde and Andy Carter; grandchildren, Kayla Weakley, Shane Weakley, Brandon Weakley, Collin Carter, Faith Castleman, and Kaelee Carter;  great-grandchildren, John and Roy Carter; many other family and friends also.  The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 30, 2023 from 4:00 until 6:00 PM at Oakview Baptist Church, 2704 Ellejoy Rd, Walland, TN 37886 with a celebration of Rodger’s life to follow at 6:00 PM with Rev. Scott Huffstetler officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 2:00 PM on Monday, July 31, 2023 at Oakview Baptist Church Cemetery for the graveside service and interment.
