Robin Lawson

February 2, 1945 — January 27, 2014

Robin Lawson of Clinton, TN went to be with The Lord on Monday, January 27th. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Judy of the home, son Eric, daughter in law Kristi and grandson, Rankin Houser of Gastonia, NC, son Scott and daughter in law, Patty, grandsons Bryson and Elijah of Franklin, TN, and daughter Melanie of Knoxville. Father, JW "Wib" Lawson of Knoxville and brother, Jim Lawson of Atlanta. Other special nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins are in Maryville and Bristol, TN and Bristol VA. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lillian Lawson of Knoxville. Robin served in the USAF from 1966-1970. He retired from Ball Corp. in 2010 after 29 years of service. He attended Kern Memorial United Methodist Church in Oak Ridge and was a member of The Elks Lodge in Oak Ridge. He was a past Exalted Ruler of The Elks Lodges in Bristol, TN and Elizabethton, TN. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend. He was so loved and will be missed dearly. Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM, Thursday, January 30, 2014 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Greg Long officiating. Memorials may be made to the Pat Summitt Foundation, www.patsummitt.org. Family and friends will assemble at 1:00 PM, Friday, January 31, 2014 at Mattox Cemetery for the interment.
