Robert A. Webb

Robert A. (Alex) Webb age 91 of Townsend passed away Friday, May 13, 2011 at his home. He was a Veteran of World War II, Golden Glove Champion Boxer, avid fisherman and outdoorsmen. Alex loved UT Football and attended his last UT game at the age of 87. Preceded in death by: Wife, Louise Bradshaw Webb; Brother, Hubert Webb; Sisters, Odell Henry and Genevieve Tipton; Daughter-in-law, Irma Webb. Survivors include: Sons & Daughters-in-law, Robert (Robby) A. Webb of Townsend and Gilbert A. Webb & wife Charlene; Daughter & Son-in-law, Janice (Jana) & Tom Solomon of Mohawk, TN; Special Nephew, Bill Effler; Grandchildren, Alexandria Shaw, Holly Click, Jenny Harmon, Michelle Hayes, Yvonne Carnes, and Kerri Rippetoe; 12 Great-Grandchildren; Special Sisters-in-law, Georgia Bradshaw and Dawn Byrd; Brothers-in-law, C.H. Bradshaw and Dale Bradshaw. Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM, Sunday, May 15, 2011 at Smith West Chapel with Rev. Darren Wigington officiating. Family and friends will assemble for interment at 11:00 AM, Monday, May 16, 2011 at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
