Robert G. Henry

Robert Garner Henry passed March 13th peacefully in his home after a courageous fight against cancer. He was a beloved father and papaw to his six grandchildren. He was a man of strong faith and was an active member at Old Piney Grove Baptist Church. He spent his entire career at Alcoa where he was known as “Harpo” by his friends. Robert loved being outdoors whether he was in the mountains, playing golf or walking his dog, Buddy. He will be greatly missed but his family takes comfort knowing he is now resting peacefully with his lord and savior. He is preceded in death by his parents James and Cora Henry. Survived by sons Adam Henry (Chelsey) and Aaron Henry (Callyn). Grandchildren Aliana, Charlie, Charlotte, Bennett, Caroline, and Cooper Henry. Brother Rick Henry (Beth) and niece Wendy Henry. The family would like to give a special thanks to Melinda Brookshire and Bruce and Gail McMillan. Receiving of friends will be held at Old Piney Grove Baptist Church from 3:30pm – 5: 00pm on Saturday, March 18, 2023 with a service to follow.
