Robert D. Halcomb, Sr.

Robert D. "Bob" Halcomb passed away at Blount Memorial Hospital on April 8, 2015 at the age of 71. Robert is predeceased by his wife Sara John Halcomb, father Basel Halcomb, mother Joyce (Crose) Halcomb, Brother O.L. Robinson, Jr and sister Billie Jo (Robinson) Zingarelli. Robert is survived by his son Rob Halcomb, daughter-in-law Stephanie Halcomb, grandchildren Hailey and Ryan Halcomb of Collierville, TN; daughter Lisa Clendenen, son-in-law Erik Clendenen, grandchildren Isabel and Cruz Clendenen of La Plata, MD. Robert was born in Knox, Indiana on May 31, 1944. He graduated from Knox High School in 1962. He relocated to Tennessee with his wife and established the Halcomb Group where he served the community's insurance needs. He was a member of Sevier Heights Baptist Church. Robert enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his friends and family. He always had a joke to tell and enjoyed seeing the smiles on faces of those around him. Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday, April 13, 2015 in the Smith Trinity Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. Family and friends will assemble for graveside service and interment at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Grandview Cemetery.
