Robert Benjamin Long

Robert Benjamin (RB) Long age 81 of Maryville died on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at UT Medical Center. He was a 30 year Veteran of the United States Army serving in the Korean War and the National Guard. RB attended New Hope Baptist Church and was a member of Rockford Masonic Lodge # 469. Preceded in death by his wife, Judy Long; parents, Ernest and Neva Long; sister, Helen Davis; brother, Paul B. Long. Survivors include, long-time friend, Helen Long; sons and daughter-in-law, Brian and Sheila Long and Rickey Tipton; daughters and son-in-law, Darlene and Mark Oliver and Sherry Huff; grandchildren, Heather Hackler, Ciara Huff, Chelsey Huff, Hunter Tipton, Haydn Oliver, Riley Long and Brady Long; great grandchildren, Ethan Hackler and Skyler Hackler; brothers, Horace Long, Wade Long, Junior Long, and Ralph Long; sister, Imogene King. Funeral and Masonic service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, July 6, 2013 in the chapel of Smith Funeral & Cremation Service. Family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Family and friends will assemble at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, July 7, 2013 at Grandview Cemetery for the interment.
