Baldwin, Robert Benton (Benny) age 82 passed away Wednesday at his home in Alcoa. He was a member of Alcoa First United Methodist Church and he retired from the Aluminum Company of America with 24 years of service. He was also a member of New Providence Masonic Lodge #128, The American Legion, and a Life Member of Veterans of Foreign Wars. He graduated from Maryville College as a Four Sport Letterman and is a member of the Sports Wall of Fame. Preceded in death by his father and mother, David Roscoe Baldwin and Josephine McCreary Baldwin; brothers, D. R. Baldwin, Jr., William H. Baldwin; sister-in-law, Margaret R. Baldwin. Survivors include wife, Joyce Raulston Baldwin; sons, Robert A. Baldwin and wife, Virginia of Nashville, David W. Baldwin and wife, Candice of Johnson City, and William G. Baldwin of Maryville; grandchildren, Lauren Baldwin, MaryAlice Baldwin, Anna Baldwin and Katherine Baldwin; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Margaret and Bob Pemberton of Louisville; nieces, Joy and husband, Dennis McCormick, Gay and husband, Don Mays, Marina and husband Dean Walker. Memorial Service will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday, December 15, 2006 in the West Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Dr. Mark Grubb officiating. Memorial Donations may be made to The Blount Memorial Hospice Mercy Fund, 1095 East Lamar Alexander Parkway, Maryville, TN 37804. Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Friday in the West Chapel of Smith Mortuary, Maryville, 983-1000.
