Rita M. Pettyjohn

Rita Heaton Pettyjohn, age 69 of Seymour, passed away on January 8, 2025 after an extended illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon T. and Pearl H. Heaton of Miser Station. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, James E. Pettyjohn; daughter and son-in-law, Victoria T. and Robert D. Heaton of Friendsville; granddaughters, Emily D. Heaton and Kelsey T. Heaton of Maryville; and great grandchildren, Wyatt, Harper, and Mackenzie. She had requested that no formal ceremonies be held, but a Celebration of Rita’s life will be held at a date to be determined.
