Rita Duncan Coulter age 61 of Alcoa passed away Monday, September 29, 2008 at her home. She was a member of Alcoa First United Methodist Church, Junior Service League, Blount Memorial Auxiliary, The Rook Club and Board member of Ronald McDonald House. Preceded in death by: Father & Mother, Houston "Joe" & Pauline Duncan; Sister, Carolyn Duncan; Niece, Rita Arts; Father-in-law & Mother-in-law, Edgar & Alma Coulter. Survivors include: Husband of 41 years, Sam L. Coulter; Son & Daughter-in-law, Brad L. & Karin R. Coulter of Knoxville; Daughters, Jenifer Bliss Coulter Stapleton and Amy R. Stapleton both of Washington, DC; Grandchildren, Benjamin & Holly Coulter; Third Grandchild expected December 2008; Brothers & Sisters-in-law, Carl & Irene Duncan and Steve & Josephine Duncan all of Anchorage, AK; Sister, Jean Riddle of Princeton, KY; Sister-in-law, & Brother-in-law, Judy & Johnny Shore of Maryville; Aunt, Ruth Taylor; Uncle & Aunt, Bob & Wilda Reed; Nephews, Keith Riddle and John Shore; Nieces, Leah Beth Leader & Tracie Alexander; Special Niece, Susan Reed. Memorial service will be at 7:00 PM, Thursday, October 2, 2008 at Smith West Chapel with Rev. Joe Green and Rev. Bob Dalton officiating. Family and friends will assemble for interment at 11:00 AM, Friday, October 3, 2008 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
