Richard E. King

Richard Earl King age 43 of Maryville went to be with the Lord, Thursday, July 28, 2011 at the family home. Richard was a member of Tuckaleechee Pike Baptist Church. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and building model cars. Richard loved his pets. Richard was a loving husband and father and loved going to the NHRA Drag Races. Preceded in death by: Mother, Violet Louise King; Grandparents, Frank & Mae Willis and Hannah King. Survivors include: Wife of 24 years, Lisa King; Son & Daughter-in-law, Dusty & Megan King; Parents, Earl J. & Sheila King; Brother, Jimmy Hatcher; Sisters, Linda Jones & husband Gary, Brenda Branton, and Patricia Abbott; Mother-in-law and Father-in-law, Don & Mary McClanahan; Brother-in-law, Mike McClanahan & wife Tessa; Beloved Pet, Bear; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. Richard will be missed by a host of other friends. Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM, Sunday, July 31, 2011 at Smith West Chapel with Rev. Willard Willis officiating. Family and friends will assemble for interment at 10:00 AM, Monday, August 1, 2011 at Grandview Cemetery.
