Richard Douglas Brooks

Richard Douglas Brooks age 62 of Maryville, formerly of Knoxville, passed away Sunday, September 21, 2008 at Blount Memorial Hospital. Richard was raised in Southern California and moved to Tennessee in 1990 with his business Ellagraphics. Richard served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was employed with Jewelry Television in Knoxville until 2006 when he retired due to failing health. Richard will always be remembered for his gentleness and kind ways. Survivors include: Wife, Kathryn Resciniti-Brooks; Step Children, Tammy Catania & husband Michael, Robert Meyer & wife Melissa; Mother-in-law, Betty Resciniti; Granddaughters, Haylie & Jo-Jo; Brother-in-law, James Resciniti & wife Rachel; Nephew, Baby Alex; Grandma, Lois Carter, Robert and Sharon Carter; devoted friends and co-workers. Funeral service will be at 8:00 PM, Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Mike Roach officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at Forest Hill Cemetery for the interment. Memorial donations may be made to: Blount Memorial Cancer Center, 907 E.
