Rebecca Ada Stinson

Rebecca “Becky” Ada McCollum Stinson, age 91, of Greenback, TN went to be with her Heavenly Father on January 20, 2016 at Asbury Place, Maryville. Becky was born on March 29, 1924, to parents James “Edgar” & Lola McCollum. She married Calvin Marvin Stinson of Westover, AL and the couple had two children together. She was a very active member of Greenback First Presbyterian Church for many years. Becky was a very devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Her family and friends will always remember her as a faithful, loving example of Christ’s love. Preceded in death by: husband, Calvin Stinson; sister, Margaret Linginfelter; brothers, Cecil, Joe, Obed, Ernest, Fred, Floyd & Kenneth “Uel” McCollum. Survivors include: sons and daughters-in-law, Larry & Martha Stinson, and Randall & Sharon Stinson both of Maryville; sister, Bobbie McCollum Johnson of Taylorsville, KY; sisters-in-law, Martha (Mrs. Fred) McCollum and Betty (Mrs. Kenneth “Uel”) McCollum; grandchildren, Ricky (Mitzi) Stinson, Christy (Brent) Myers, Cole (Sunidee) Stinson, Aaron (Julie) Stinson, Rebecca “BJ” Walker, and Josh LeQuire; great-grandchildren, Marissa & Andrew Myers, Klaudia, Klaire, Waylon, Calvin, and Coen Stinson, Charley Walker, and Trevor, Dylan, Brittany, Kylie and Marissa LeQuire. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM, Friday, January 22, 2016 at Smith Chapel with funeral service at 7:00 PM with Rev. David Bell officiating. Family and friends will assemble for interment at 10:00 AM, Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Pine Grove Cemetery in Greenback. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Becky’s life.
